Waiting for the Rain to Come
Filaments thread the darkened sky.
Thunder grumbles low.
Storm clouds of this year go by.
There's a new to know.

Attic boxes shoved make noise.
Thunder up above.
Off and on like light switch toys
the lightning shows His Love.

Crickets fiddle, "It's okay.
Got no worries here.
Just the Master's music plays,
washing air so clear."

Silence covers darkened skies,
but for insect calls.
"Where's the rain?" Await replies.
Wisdom covers all.

Sudden. When we least expect
the rain will heavy fall.
Nothing earthly can deflect
The Lord's great Judgment squall.
