Several Reasons Why
Several Reasons Why

There are a lot of reasons why I didn’t get as much written on my Water Wars scriptwriting project as I wanted to get done. And a lack of concentration was one of them. I don’t think that it was a big one. But it was one. Mostly, it was because of work and who I work for that were the big ones.

Yesterday was extremely busy at work. It was like a Wednesday for the last three months. That’s how busy it was. I thought the last couple of weeks meant that it was going to slow down at where I work. But it looks like I was wrong about that. It wasn’t just how busy it was, though.

I was on my feet a whole lot yesterday at work. Not only was I on them, but I was also out of my guard post a lot too. As soon as I sat down to do any writing, I was almost admittedly on my feet again. Under these circumstances, I’m kind of surprised that I got as much writing done as I did.

The weather was also a good reason. It was supposed to be very bad yesterday at work. A snowstorm/blizzard type of bad. Luckily, it wasn’t that bad. But it was bad enough that it did slow me down some when it comes to my writing. That was a minor reason, though.

Who I work for was the second main reason with how busy it was being the first. Why do I write that? It’s because they are trying to get me to quit again. It’s not going to work. But they keep on trying to do it. This time it was the overtime that I was supposed to have yesterday.

I was supposed to work four hours OT yesterday. But that didn’t happen. It’s today that is supposedly going to happen. I will believe that when it does. How does me not getting OT yesterday affect my writing? It’s because I was pacing myself to at least finish the single sentences for the last three episodes of Scene Outlines for this project.

Of course, I wanted to start writing my single paragraph for my Outlines yesterday. But because of everything else that was going on with me, I figured that if I got my single sentences finished that would be good enough. That’s where my lack of concentration came in. I don’t think that it was a big factor in my not getting more written. But it was one.

Today, I should be able to not only get my single sentences finished for these episodes, but I should be able to get started on my single paragraphs too. Especially, if I do work the four hours OT today. I’m not going to count on that until it happens, though. I should get the single sentences written at least. But even that isn’t a given.

It all depends on how busy it gets at work today and what new weirdness that who I work for has in store for me. I do know one thing, though. If I do get my OT today and tomorrow morning, it’s going to be at my old post. That by itself may slow me down from writing. Maybe even stop me from getting more written than I want to get written.
