weeks of time we wait
then the goal is fin'lly reached
this life chapter closed

heart and mind know loss
looking back upon this time
never here again

turn the mind to hope
future days have much to share
we have much to gain

new roads lie before
once a child the child remains
ever in the heart

adulting days are now here
releasing child to the world
