Not a Bad Start

I finish my first Short Story for this month. And I created it too. But I haven’t posted it to the WDC Short Story Contest yet. Instead, I have posted it on The Shameless Plug Page and The Please Review Page. I have gotten three reviews about it. And all seemed to like it. Except for whom the main characters are aka ‘children.’

Now I have started my second Short Story for this month. True, I haven’t had the chance to start writing it until today. I wanted to start doing it after work this week. Like I want to do with all my short stories. But like usual, for one reason or another, I couldn’t do it. As a result, I haven’t gotten too much written on it so far.

Don’t get me wrong. I have done some writing on it. But not as much as I would have liked to have gotten done. Why didn’t I get more written? What is the normal reason? That’s right. It’s because of my brother and me. And what we needed to get done today. It wasn’t too much that needed doing. But it took almost until the middle of the afternoon to finish doing it. And it started very early this morning.

So, how much writing did I get written today on this Short Story? I got the first two sections written. That’s about four hundred words so far. It also means that I still have about sixteen hundred words left to write for this Short Story. It reads like a lot of words still left to write. But I have three more days off to write them.

I was hoping to get at least one more part written today. And that still might happen. But I don’t know if I will be able to do that or not. Because of getting up so early, I may be going to sleep soon after I post this blog entry. I am going to try to get another section or two written. I’m just not sure I will feel up to doing it.

If I do, I may not like what I write. And if that’s true, I may end up re-writing it anyway. So, I have a big decision to make. Do I try to write one or two more parts knowing that there is a very good chance I may possibly be re-writing them tomorrow or should I just start from scratch for tomorrow?

As far as I know, my brother and I don’t have anything planned for tomorrow. Unfortunately, I have thought that before and I have been wrong. But tomorrow I might not be. After all, it’s supposed to rain all day tomorrow. So, we might not have anything that we need to do that can’t be done at home. Only time will tell on this one.
