This Month is Almost Half Over

As the title of this blog entry reads, this month is about halfway over. That means I only have sixteen more days to finish writing my WDC Short Story for this month. With about twelve hundred words like in this story, I shouldn’t have any problems writing them in sixteen days. But the way that things have been going lately, I’m not so sure if it will be enough time to finish it.

It’s true, this month has been shortened by about six full days before we got the prompt for this month. But that’s no excuse for me not being farther along with this Short Story. Especially, since I came up with it somewhat instantly. True, it wasn’t quite that instant. But it wasn’t that long either. I would like to blame the delay in prompting. But I can’t do that.

The prompting has a lot to do with how long I have to write this Short Story. But it’s my fault that I haven’t gotten it done already. If not finished, very close to finishing it. I should have only about four hundred words left to write in this Short Story. And that’s if I have that many to write. Of course, I should be able to get it finished by the end of this month.

I’m just not sure how soon I will be able to get it written. I’m hoping to get it finished within the next few days. But after the last few days, I’m not going to count on anything until it happens. After all, I haven’t been able to do any writing on this Short Story for the last couple of days. And I’m not sure about the next few days either.

Normally, I would be writing more about today, I mean yesterday. But I can’t do that today because I should have posted this blog entry yesterday. And I would have if my laptop was starting to act up again. What does that mean? It means that instead of one blog entry for today I will have two. Three if my laptop doesn’t continue to mess up.
