Bad Dreams
Justin moaned, struggling to wake up from another nightmare. Another night of violent dreams. A night of stalking shadows in rat-infested alleyways and chasing villains from the past across the emptiness of his existence. There is no rest, he thought. Indeed, he felt exhausted and his body ached. He managed to open his eyes by furrowing his brow, pulling them into a narrow squint. Immediately, one hand flew up to shade them from the glare of a flashlight trained on his face. Why was his hand covered in blood?

“His wife says he sleepwalks” the policeman with the handcuffs said.
