Howler Monkeys do it with loud screams. What do you scream at, or with, and why? If you're not a screamer, what loud noises do you make, besides cursing or yelling at someone's pet?

I don’t usually scream, at people or pets or situations. I try to be calm, although I may be angry.

I last screamed when a dog lunged at me during my noon walk. The dog was in full attack mode, barking, teeth bared, hackles up. This dog lives in a house that has had dogs do this before. Attack people, especially the mailman and walkers.

Another annoying part of this was the person sitting on the front porch of the house where the dog lives watching this happen. He did nothing. I screamed at him too.

Then I went home and called the sheriff. Seems they also have a history at this house. A different dog bit a deputy arriving to address a complaint.

My hubby instructed me to not scream at people like this. They may pull out a gun and shoot me. Just walk away, go home and call the sheriff.

So now I walk the town with my bear spray, a concentrated pepper spray. Stray dogs not behind a fence, or on a leash, that come at me again will get a taste of pepper.
