The din of traffic
brushed past me
as I turned pages
of a book that enthralled.


A new book
from the stall.
Characters living
in different eras.
Strong women
that flinched not
pursuing dreams
living and loving ‘em.


I left the park
a new wave of inspiration
washing over me
to be the person
I ought to be,
bold and beautiful
brilliant to reckon with.

A book, a life changer.
