A blog devoted just to my scriptwriting. That’s all I’m going to blogging about here. |
Very Good for About Two Months Off I wasn’t sure if I was going to be getting any writing done on my second scriptwriting project, The Final Ritual. If I would be getting any writing done on it at all earlier today at work. After all, it has been about two months since I have been working on this project. Maybe even a little bit longer than that. It had been so long that I couldn’t remember where I left off. That’s how long it had been since I worked on this project. I thought that I would be spending most of my shift catching up on where I left off. If I did get any writing done on it, it wouldn’t be too much of it. Unfortunately, I was wrong about that. Why did I just write ‘unfortunately?’ It’s because I wasn’t as far along with my Scene Outline as I thought I was. I had just started Act One of it. So, I didn’t have as much that I needed to re-read. As a result, I got a lot of writing done earlier today at work. If I counted correctly, I got thirteen paragraphs written: twelve numeric scenes written and one Establishing Shot. It may have been one or two more. But I don’t think it was less than that. Don’t ask me how I got so much written in about six hours. That’s because I don’t know the answer to that question. All that I know is that once I started writing I couldn’t stop. The only thing that stopped me was work. And that didn’t affect my writing too much. If it affected me, it all. Of course, I had some trouble with it because it had taken so long between working on it. But I didn’t have too much trouble with it. I’m hoping that I can do as well tomorrow as I did earlier today. If not a little bit better than that. If it were the weekend, I might do as well or better. But since it’s Friday, I may be lucky if I get ten more written. Ten is still very good. At least I think that it is. Of course, ten to fifteen is even better. True, I did it earlier today. So, there is no reason why I can’t do it tomorrow too. Whether I get ten or fifteen or somewhere in between ten and fifteen single paragraphs written today for this project, I’m going to get as many of them as I can write. More than fifteen would be even better. But I’m not going to count on that until it happens. With about six hours of work tomorrow, I could get more than fifteen single paragraphs written. Then again, I may be lucky if I can get ten of them done. |
