Pluck
You fell from heaven like a feather.
I devilishly witnessed dainty descent,

tried to field you, whirring event,
elusive, before your rest, gentle
on the green mass.

What point of picking you up now,
unless breezes should stir,
send you heavenward?

In all your glory, twisting,
spinning, I’d try again,
calculate with more fervor.

Heaven loves a wild dreamer
chasing its cloud castoffs.
