Norma's Wanderings around a small section of Montana

Food Prices!

It's been a nice stretch of weather here in my neck of the woods. No rain, no snow, no wind. Nothing. Just a lot of lingering ice that is left over from that big snow a while back. But warmer weather will soon get rid of it, we pray.

I went to town the other day and took a friend. We had a good day wandering around, doing a few chores. Mainly I was just amazed at the jump in prices of many items. Good grief.

I really don't know how families are feeding their children now. Food is so much more expensive than just a year ago.

So what can you do? Not much, other than cut back on expenses. We already don't eat out very much. About the only time we do is when we go to Billings to shop. Or if it is a special occasion, such as a birthday or anniversary. I really don't understand people that eat lunch out every day or dinner many times a week. Or get coffees every day. I know I have ways I can cut back. Don't get me started on the problem I have with salty snacks. Egads the price of potato chips...

It's going to be a long winter in the barn, it seems.
