A blog devoted just to my scriptwriting. That’s all I’m going to blogging about here. |
Single Sentence Outlines I haven’t had too much time to work on my second scriptwriting project, The Final Ritual, today. What little time I had to work on it, I have been doing it. Unfortunately, it hasn’t been as much time as I would like it to be. In other words, it has been a very typical second day off from work aka a Tuesday. From the time I woke up this morning until late this afternoon, my brother and I had one thing after another we needed to get done today. As a result, I didn’t get as much as I wanted to get done when it comes to this project. Don’t get me wrong. I did get some writing done today. It just wasn’t as much as I thought it would be. At least not yet it hasn’t. What I did get done today was my Character Act Breakdown. At least that’s what I call it. It’s a breakdown for each Act and character. In this case, that breakdown is for Dinill, Marri, Kealor, Pallim, Tylmer, and Corma. It shows part of the overall storyline for that part of the movie. I use one character for each scene in my movie. That scene centers around them and their storyline. Why do I do it like this? Because it helps me with my Story Outline. It eventually helps me with my Scene Outline and my script. It’s just the way that I prefer to write. I know that may read like I’m crazy, and I am, but not about my writing or the way that I write. Of course, I do something similar when it comes to my episodic television shows, but I’m not writing about them right now. I’m writing this blog entry about my second scriptwriting project, The Final Ritual. Unfortunately, I didn’t get too much of it done today. I did get the Character Act Breakdown done, though. Now all I need to do is do my single-sentence breakdown for my Story Outline. Then I can do the same thing for my Scene Outline. Once I get both of them written, then I will be ready to start writing my single paragraphs for these outlines. I was hoping to start writing these paragraph Outlines when I return to work tomorrow night/Thursday morning. Probably won’t be able to do that, though. I may get the single sentences written for my Story Outline, but I probably won’t be able to finish them for my Scene Outline. May not even get to my Scene Outline. Should be able to get the Story Outline done, but I’m not even counting on that until it happens. |
