Almost One-Third
Almost One-Third

It’s a good thing that we have until February the seventh for the contest this month. We were given it because of the lateness of the prompt this month. If we didn’t have those extra days I would be panicking right now. True, I still have almost two weeks to finish my latest Short story, Time for a Change, for this contest, but I still would be panicking about if I could finish it during my days off from work.

I don’t need to worry about that for this month’s contest. Not because I have the extra seven days to write it, but because I have almost one-third of it written. that’s right. I got the first three parts written for it. That is just under six hundred words I have written so far. This means I only have around fourteen hundred more words to write before I get finished with it. It also means I don’t need to finish it while I’m at work.

Normally, this time of the month I would be worried I wouldn’t get my Short Story written by the end of it. The only way I could is if I did it while at work. I doubt I’m going to need to do it this month. with or without the seven extra days, I don’t think I will be needing to finish writing this Short Story at work. This leaves me to continue working on my second scriptwriting project, The Final Ritual.

Speaking of work, I’m going to be returning to work in just over an hour and a half. It has meant I would be continuing to work on my latest Short Story or one of my short stories. Not this week, though. I’m going back to working on my scriptwriting. It has been three days since I worked on this second project, and I don’t remember where I’m at in this Story Outline. All I can remember is I still have a long way to go to finish it.

I’m not sure, but I think I will be working on this Story Outline all this week to finish it. Of course, I hope to get it finished long before that, and that’s not an impossibility, but after last week I’m not going to count on that happening until it does. I hope I’m wrong about this too, but I don’t think I am. If I’m lucky, I will get it done by the end of this week. Whether I do or not may depend on two things.

One of those things is what happens to me at work. Last week, one of the reasons I didn’t get more written at work was because of what happened at work. If something like that happens again, that could stop me from getting this Story Outline finished. The second reason is me. Whether or not something happens to me while I’m at work, how I’m feeling may affect my work. Any lack of sleep or concentration can also affect my getting this done.

I think I can get it finished. After all, I think I only have about sixty single paragraphs left to write. If that’s true, that averages fifteen per day. That reads like a lot of paragraphs, and it is, but I have done it before. I can do it again. Especially, if I don’t have any problems at work, a lack of sleep, or a lack of concentration. Don’t know if I can do it or not, but I think I can. At least I hope I can.
