A blog devoted just to my scriptwriting. That’s all I’m going to blogging about here.

Average for a Weekday

Earlier today, I got thirteen single paragraphs written for my second scriptwriting project, The Final Ritual. Nine numeric single paragraphs and four Establishing Shots. That equals thirteen single paragraphs written for my Scene Outline earlier today at work.

It should have been one or two more, but I had a little trouble writing the last three single paragraphs to end Teaser Act One. I knew what I wanted to write, but not how to write them. There were a couple of reasons why I had so much trouble with these single paragraphs. One reason is it’s been several days since I worked on this Scene Outline.

I had a little trouble catching up with what I had already written for these character scenes. The other reason was because of the line limitations for these character scenes. I had one four-line paragraph, one five-line paragraph, and one six-line paragraph, and I had some trouble keeping it within them.

Other than these two reasons, I don’t know why I only got thirteen single paragraphs written for this project. Except that they were written on a weekday, and on weekdays if I can get ten to fifteen single paragraphs written I consider it a good day. I did that earlier today with thirteen. Just over halfway between my goal range. That’s a very good day for me.

Hopefully, I can do that many tomorrow. If I can’t do a little bit more than that. Now that I have worked on this project this week already aka today, I don’t have to worry about the first reason above. I still may have some problems with the second reason, though. Hopefully, it won’t be too bad with them.

On weekdays my single paragraph goals are between ten to fifteen single paragraphs, and on the weekends they are fifteen to twenty-five, twenty to twenty-five preferred. Will I be able to keep up these goals, if not do better than them daily? That I don’t know, but I’m going to try to do it. A lot depends on my line limitations and whether I can do it or not.

I should be able to keep up with these goals on a weekday basis. Not so sure about the weekends. Should be able to do them on the weekends too. Especially, the fifteen to twenty range. Just not sure about the twenty to twenty-five range. I can still do the later range, but I’m not going to count on this until it happens.
