Tick.
Dark despair.
Tock.
Darkest year

Tick.
Trudging, one more step.
Tock.
Just. One. More.

Tick.
Echoing through me.
Tock.
A shudder. A tear.

Tick.
Time is shattering.
Tock.
Time is up.
