March 13th - Happiness

Life is a series of ups and downs.
We have to take the bad with the good;
How else would we recognize the blessings,
The trials being misunderstood.

I am learning this skill
It is tough at my age;
But trudging through I go,
Its wisdom being my sage.

I claim not the victory
Here in this life;
That is for my reward in heaven -
When one day I leave the world of strife.
