Mind The Wet Paint
Forget-me-not blue slides
in a sullen drip
down the rough concrete wall,
muting the angry scrawl
graffitied by a creative soul
                                          denied an outlet.
Poetic screams and dreams
         s p l a t t e r e d
as darkness breaks through the façade.
In the morning light it will all seem
                                                     garish
                                                              and trivial.


Free verse. Written 19 June 2015.
