What has God done for you lately? Do you keep a journal of answered prayers?


This is a good prayer prompt. I find myself discouraged whenever I watch the news, so a lot of times I avoid it.


God is becoming more real to me. For a while, He was an abstract "pie in the sky" kind of God. There, but not really interested in me and my goings on. At least I thought so. Last July, I went into the hospital with a double kidney infection that turned septic. It still boggles my mind that I really could have died. I'm still recovering, and now I have congestive heart failure on top of that. My energy is better, but I'm not there yet. Patience is an ugly thing to try to develop at my age...LOL

I know He has a purpose for me, and while I don't necessarily have an "answered prayer" journal - My blogging, my poetry, my writing in general is an outlet for me. I've got Take Up Your Cross, I've got Spiritual Challenge, and also the Happiness Project that I write in - not every day, but I try hard to do so. So I guess you could say that my account here at WdC has been a lifesaver, and also helps me to reflect and draw closer to God. I am grateful also for the friends that I have made here as well.

So I guess there's that.
