Back Pasture Visitor

Midnight stroll caught on nature cam,
a mountain lion on the hunt.
A pause, a glance from back to front,
devil eyes spark, rival all glam.

Undisturbed by humans near by,
explores beyond the forest edge,
kills neighbor goats behind a hedge.
We’re on alert, she isn’t shy.
