365 Days of Blessing _ April 12, 2023

Dear God,

You are my focus as I am a follower of Jesus. He is my Lord and King. My life in the kingdom of Heaven is set in place. It is through Christ Jesus alone. He sets the standard as the Keeper of the Gate. I Give up even the most ordinary of courtesies in this life to be an instrument in the Master’s hand to bring His kingdom to light in every lost soul. From You Dear God, there is no turning back. I am Your child. My deployment into the world is simple: Give up everything that is called important by the world and spend my life in Your complete service. As a son. As a daughter. One sacrifice. Praise. One devotion. Worship. One mission. “Proclaim the Kingdom of God.”

Luke 9:60-62

To another He said, “Follow me.” But he said, “Lord, let me first go and bury my father.” And Jesus said to him, “leave the dead to bury their own dead. But as for you, go and proclaim the kingdom of God.”

Yet another said, “I will follow you, Lord, but let me first say farewell to those at my home.”
Jesus said to him, “No one who puts his hand to the plow and looks back is fit for the kingdom of God.”

I will not hold back any longer. Too much of me is not seeking out the ones who must know and understand that Your Son Jesus is Lord. I have put too many things ahead of my devotion to Jesus. I am troubled, but not doubled in my efforts to proclaim. I know the way is in my future as a scribe and a speaker of the truth. Help me Father to be more like Your Son. Amen.
