oh grow up
he told me
throughout
childhood

& I wanted
to grow up
& I didn’t
really want to

but it happened
invisibly
bit by bit
by centimetres

through experience
through reflection
in the mirror
in my mind

unbidden
& expected
up I grew
& I’m still growing





with a very cheap webcam
