Boy with net gazes up at a starry sky

Longing

Would that grasp could equal reach
and net a heav’nly spark,
wheeling round celestial poles
like dew dropped in the dark.

Wistful gaze with hungry mind,
what wonders do await?
Yearning for the vast unknown
infinity of space.
