365 Days of Blessing _ April 23, 2023

Dear God,

In love Your church flourishes without recrimination. It is wise for Your church to consider the ways in which You loved Jerusalem, Your beloved. The Church too, as the Bride, is protected in the same way that You oversee Your chosen nation. But the church too has had times of revolt. The church has had moments of trusting in her own beauty, resources and resilience. But You, God our Father are our protector. You are the Builder who established her with Jesus, God the Son as the corner stone. Our heart, as the church, should always be in love with the Founder of our Faith and the redeemer of our lives. In love we are beautiful. In love we flourish without recrimination. You have made it so!

Isaiah 31:4-7

For thus the LORD said to me, “As a lion or a young lion growls over his prey, and when a band of shepherds is called out against him he is not terrified by their shouting or daunted at their noise, so the LORD of hosts will come down to fight on Mount Zion and on its hill.

Like birds hovering, so the LORD of host will protect Jerusalem; He will protect and deliver it; He will spare and rescue.

Turn to Him from whom people have deeply revolted, O children of Israel.

For in that day everyone shall cast away his idols of silver and his idols of gold, which your hands have sinfully made.

I will love You, my Lord my God, with all of my heart, mind, soul and strength. Surely, You will keep Your servant in perfect peace as my whole being is set upon You. Thank You. Amen.
