Zombie Apocalypse Weekly Challenge

Sam Adams
Was driving through the desert
After the fall of humanity

As COVID 25 killed
Most of humanity
Only a few were immune

Many of the fellow survivors
Were not right in the head
Some were driven to cannibalism

Becoming COVID Zombies
As the zombie apocalypse
Overran the world

Others were just plumb crazy
Sam Adams was weary
When he encountered

Maria Lee
Standing by the side
Of her motorcycle

Carrying flowers
Looking as if she
Was lost in her mind

Sam approached her
She smiled
And came at him

She threw down her flowers
Snarling at him
Turning into a COVID Zombie

Sam shot and killed her
Not wanting to become
Another COVID Zombie

And left her dead
For the resurgent wildlife

The coyotes, cheetahs, feral dogs
Lions, tigers, wolves and vultures
And zombie hoards
To devour
