This is a collection of poems told from fictional view points. They are not about me.

Up The Tree
I went for a walk, down to the gate,
and paused near the cottonwood tree.
I noticed a mark, initials maybe,
scratched in by an unknown party.

As I leaned forward, to read what was wrote,
a small cat twined its way round my ankles.
I tripped over the chocolate coloured cat
and tore my stockings - ooh, that rankles!

I petted the feline, it was hardly his fault,
and he meowed so piteously.
then he fled up the trunk, right to the top.
He climbed quite ambitiously.

Then a dog came scampering from not far away,
barking and eager to play.
"I see," I remarked, to the cat perched so high,
"I understand why you fled the fray."
