Standard American Diet - Week 7
I remember wheat stalks on pennies
once held them in my hand,
eager to trade them for candy,
but now others trade farm land.

Some will hate Bill Gates
for converting farms to fuel,
for GMO seeds and lab meat,
‘cause that stuff’s just not cool.

The wheat fields won’t be waving,
say Bill and his globalist friends.
There’ll be cricket flour and cockroach milk
all approved by the U.N.

Wheat was once a symbol
of America’s abundance,
but now it seem that real food
is considered an indulgence.

If you want to save the planet,
you’ll have to eat bugs and such.
I guess it's a nice place to live,
But I don’t like it that much.
