Written for "EXPRESS IT IN EIGHT" ; TOPIC: Write a sinking poem.

The sky is gray and gloomy
And a chillness fills the air.
My heart is sad and lonely
As I sink deeply in despair.

I long to see the sunshine
And feel a warming breeze,
To hear the children laughing
Bringing an end to my unease.
