Errol and Colleen
Empty beer bottles
testament to a lengthy visit,
stories ever more ribald.
Errol's straight face
telling us about the stripper
at the RSA.
Laughter gives way
to quiet, respectful sadness
as tales take a maudlin turn.
They totter up the drive,
arm in arm...
'That's us in 40 years'.
