A collection of my autobiographical poems

Stomping on that last kernel of envy
That girl with the quirky dress sense who could wear a paper bag
and look sensational. Disregard dangling fag,
mere fashion accessory, artless affectation,
balancing on the edge of stereotypic expectation.
Girls with hourglass figures, wrapped in skintight jeans,
skating through life's darkest scenes.
Flawless skin, a painstaking fusion
of art and nature, but still mere illusion.
Hours, angst, endless maintenance, gone...
I buy into the myth, bring the fantasy on.
