Devastatingly delicious
A crisp, green sprig of parsley,
the perfect garnish for a
pie that would make four
and twenty blackbirds beg
for the honour.
Steam rises from symmetrical
vents painstakingly angled
to maintain optimum crunch
and puff, and I wonder
if anyone would taste
the hemlock and nightshade
I'd flavoured the gravy with.
