Seems I'm a day late. Oh well - here goes. November 14th is a date I will always remember. My first wedding anniversary. 1970. Gosh - that was forever ago. Actually - 53 years this year. But we weren't married that long. Only about 15 years. I could never have been married to that man for 53 years. One of us would've been dead long before this year. And as it turned out, it wasn't me.

But you know life does have a way of slipping away from you. You turn around, and that time you swore would never end, it was so horrible, has magically disappeared. Only to be replaced with another period that is equally difficult.

Currently we are still without our own vehicle. Not a problem if you live in a large city with public transportation, but I don't. We do have a car, but it's being refurbished. For 6 months now. I swear this seems like it will never end. We borrowed a truck, had to give it back. Now we're on a second borrowed vehicle. This one scares me. I refuse to drive it, and refuse to be a passenger in it on any long trips. So I am a walker in my town. And I am a recent post-op knee surgery patient. If I want to go anywhere, say, Billings, I ask for a friend to take me. I pay the gas.

I know, someday I'll look back on this time of trouble and smile. Or at least that is what people tell me. I comfort myself with that thought. Things can always be worse.
