Kiya's Lunch, Poem About A Nurse
1. Kiya's Lunch
Before the game, Kiya said she didn't remember what she had for lunch.
Write a story of what you bought her for lunch.

I took Kiya to Bob Evans at Noon for lunch. She was really hungry. Kiya ordered shrimp, French fries, Banana Bread, vegetable soup and had Reeses Peanut Butter Pie for desert. We talked for awhile and we were there all afternoon. No one asked us to leave. 4:30 PM, the waitress kept looking at us and asked us three times when we wanted the bill.

So, we ordered dinner at 5:00PM. Kiya ordered chocolate chip pancakes, bacon and two fried eggs. She passed on dessert. I ordered a big, Reeses Peanut Butter pie to go for Kiya. We left when we got done eating and I left a twenty dollar tip. I think the waitress was happy.

2. The Nurse
Write a poem about a Nurse. However you want to approach the subject.

A nurse works so many long hours and the day is long.
Passing out meds, IVS, bandages and other medical things.
Patients yelling, the work is hard and she has to be strong.
She tries to be patient, cheer up her people and she sings.

Losing a patient, she tries to be strong and smile.
She says a prayer and knows they done the best they could.
Someone calls in, the nurse indeed go that extra mile.
A nurse is dedicated and does her work like she should.

A thank you from a patient warms the nurse's heart with pride.
Helping a patient get well is her goal and is worth her time.
At home, she has a life of her own and takes her horse for a ride.
She relaxes and works again tomorrow and drinks a glass of lemon lime.

Another day at work. A Nurse helps a patient get ready for surgery.
She preps the patient and does all she can to ease their fear.
She has to check on the sweet babies downstairs in the nursery.
With patients and their families, she loves them all and is cheery.

An angel of mercy. A caring person. Where would we be without nurses?
Day in and day out, they do their best. They have love in their hearts.
Nurses love their jobs and it is hard but they don't think it is a curse.
A nurse is caring, good at her job and nursing is considered an art.
