Gerbils
Shovelling...

I don't mind shovelling but I'm not crazy about what's outside right now...waiting for me...8 to 10 inches of wet heavy snow/slush...and it's still snowing. It just took me half an hour to shovel a path from my front door to the road. That should have only took about five minutes...ten at the most usually...but the fire is that much cozier. Must be a law of nature...the more miserable it is outside, the cozier the fire.

I seem to be writing a lot about gerbils lately. It's not that I'm a gerbil fancier or breeder...I'm a big animal lover...all kinds...although I'm not too crazy about spiders...or hagfish...or tapeworms. They have their place in the world too as do gerbils. I like the sound of the word "gerbil"...and the word "pumpkin"...and "cumquat"..,even though I wouldn't recongize a cumquat from a papaia. "Munchkin"...or anything ending with "kin"..."Waffle"..."Banana"..."Hedgehog"..."Kangaroo"
..."Moose"...all great sounding words to me.

English must be such a hard language to learn. One mouse is called a mouse...two of the little critters are called mice. One moose is a "moose"...two are still called "moose"...not "meese". There's all these stupid rules..."i" before "e" except after "c" as in "receive", "deceit", "conceited" or "fluoresceine" but what about "science","ancient","species", "suffcient", "policies", "tendencies", etc.? I wonder if Polish has stupid contradicting rules also.

Hi Cookie...Cookie said she was going to drop by. I like the sound of "cookie" too. Another fun word...Great choice Cookie...I like Cookie too.
