A writing journal is made up of bits and pieces of ideas waiting to become a whole.

What's needed?
I'm trying to write a story without dialogue (yes, even after all the talk and work about using dialogue to move a plot along and avoiding most narration). So, what's needed to create this story?

1. Strong, precise descriptions of places, characters and their actions, and emotions.

2. Avoid telling, but use descriptions and narration to show what is happening.

3. All descriptions must add to the story line.

4. Finding the depth of desire needed to do this well, including the willingness to revise and rebuild as needed.
