I Miss You (poem)
I Miss You
(for Janet)

I miss you so much
My arms reach out for you to touch
When you’re gone I long to see your face
How empty is this place

Not seeing you each day makes me low
And this feeling just won’t go
Not to have you lying near
Makes it so lonely being here

Wish that you were here with me
Then how merry I would be
I’d hug you close to me
And kiss you tenderly

Whisper words of love into your ear
But then I realize you’re not here
Oh what I wouldn’t do
For even one quick glimpse of you.

Guess I should go to sleep
These thoughts of you can keep
Anyway it most probably seems
That you’ll be with me in my dreams
Oh how I miss you girl
Oh how I love you.
