Just another day here in Iraq. It seems strange to say it. Me in Iraq. Iraq is one of those places that you read about in the history books. Some obscure country that had nothing to do with me. But here I sit, in Iraq. I hope to get out of it alive. Got some crazy people out there who would just as soon kill me as to look at me. Hard to picture in your mind people who are thinking, How can we kill somebody. They're actually out there right now planning out .
Well fortunatly I am in a safe place here. Hope it stays that why and someone doesn't let there guard down and let someone through who is armed. Had a good day, talked with some people had a few laughs, did some laundry. Read but not as much as I wanted to.
We are having a big lightening storm tonight. The weather has been mixed this week it started hot very hot. Then it cooled nicely the last few days and now a thunder storm.
We are half way through May. The days do go by fast. But it still feels like there is a long way to go. I try to make each day meaningful in some way. Use my time to do the things that I like. I have gotten back in to reading. I finished, 2000 years of Middle eastern history. Now I have started the book, A peace to end all peace. After that I have to get back to the Civil War.
Can't seem to get Trace on the IM to night. She must be out with someone.
