Mixed Emotions
Got up earlier than I thought this morning; quite out of character. Glad to escape the weird dreams though. I must have been grinding my teeth in my sleep as I was dreaming my tooth had snapped in half. Also went away for a weekend with my first sweetheart from school. Don't know how I managed to escape from here to do that or why I'd choose Phil as a weekend fling but such is the strange nature of dreams.

Phil was the first love of my life in the innocent flush of early teens. I've never forgotten him and I know he never forgot me either. We linked up through one of those Friendsreunited sites a few years ago and are now great friends and communicate regularly. He's a lovely guy, happily married but not really my type. We do still get on very well though. The internet has reunited me with loads of old friends from school and we have regular meetings.

Started the morning with a rejection from a publisher. Not the end of the world but I do wish they'd say WHY they don't accept stuff. How can we improve on it if we don't know what's wrong? A lovely e-mail from someone dear to me has restored my soul however. Nice when something positive wipes out a negative. I need another cuppa before I can face the day; not sure what I'm doing with it but I'll lay money it won't be anything earth shattering. Still, sometimes we have to be grateful that life just ticks over but a little excitement now and again would be appreciated. I've given my lottery ticket a serious talking to so perhaps tomorrow I'll be a millionnaire. No, I don't think so either. I was born on a Saturday and you know what they say about Saturday's child.
