Letter from the editor

Hi! I’m a newbie,
Please...can someone tell me a little about this website?

I see posts like this every day. Those of us who have been here a while remember how it is to be new and usually these questions are answered by pointing in the direction of "Getting Started: Table of Contents"   by The StoryMistress . The FAQ page is the next one to visit.

I know I have covered this before readers, but new members are joining everyday. You oldies will like the newbie highlights this month. Scroll on down and check them out right now if you think you know everything and don't need this info.

All newbies must read their way down.

Have questions or suggestions?

The FAQ page is the place to go if you have a question about working on the site. I know there are members who have been here a while and still are learning new things.

My Favorites:

What are "My Favorites" and "My Authors"?
How do I add an item to "My Favorites" or an Author to "My Authors"?

Content Ratings:

How does the Writing.Com Content Rating System (CRS) work?
Can I filter the items I see in public listings by content ratings?
Why do I not see any work rated GC or XGC in the public listings?

Have a question? Click the link to FAQ's and read!

Your question isn't there? Try this. "Noticing Newbies"   by The StoryMistress

Look at the left side of your screen often. Those scroll items are for all of us. An invaluable place to find the tools we need to find anything on the site, use to improve ourselves, or just to "shop".

"The Shameless "Plug" Page is great to post items for review. There are numerous Review Forums that are just asking for you to submit your items and will offer fair and honest critique.

Take some time, explore, and if you get lost, just keep a piece of paper next to you with a pen, and write down where you were, and what you found. More importantly, have fun!!!
Borrowed from amawitch because it says exactly what I wanted to say, only better. Thank you.

Thanks for reading. I'll see you on the 6th of Sept.
Man, I love this job!

I Noticed these Newbies in the Month of July.

These are some of the amazing members I've noticed during the month of July. Please, check them out.

They are all on the top 100 reviewer list! And were there long enough to earn their Merit Badges. They should all be very proud of themselves, I know the rest of us are.

He was number 42 in June. Since he joined June 29th, this is a truly amazing example of jumping right in and getting involved!
