Sawdust

Bought a load of sawdust for the paths in the garden. It's been a few years since we did the paths..but the sawdust has broken down and it's time.

Been weeding and cutting back the flowers from fall. I always let the garden go in August so there are seeds for the birds over the winter. Looks like a jungle in the fall but the birds love it when the snow falls.

The robins love it when I start cleaning up the garden in the spring. Birds are awesome to watch. Their sense of hearing must be unreal. I dig up weeds and then the robins will walk all over the spots where the earth is loose..tilt their heads and next thing you know out come a grub or a worm. They hunt for their own food..no bird feeders for these birds. Always on the move.
