A simple observation . . . or not
One of my favorite scriptures of late is Ecclesiastes 7:13: "Consider what God has done; Who can straighten what he has made crooked?"

Sometimes, many times actually, I expect my life to be smooth, without sharp and unexpected turns, or even blocked or steep pathways.

But it rarely is. I think many times God purposefully makes my path crooked, and as much as I fight to straighten it, I have not the power to do it. I have to follow the crooked way to get to the destination God wants me at, not my own.

That's why I changed my Title to "Finding God" and the subtitle to " Laid before me is a crooked path. I hope I don't get lost."

Right now I'm feeling a little lost, nor am I always certain I've found "God's Way" even when I don't feel lost.

BarbiesNeverLie said it perfectly in her comment to my last entry: "I do believe that we all go through a little bit of a spiritual plateau every once in a while, but you'll get back on track so dont't get down on yourself about that!"

Standing on this plateau, I can walk in almost any direction without seeing any discernable path or possible destination.

Everything looks the same no matter where I turn.

I just realized I'm mixing metaphors, here. So which is it? Am I walking a crooked path or standing on a plateau?

Truth is I don't know for sure, and that could be why I'm so confused!
