Music to sooth the beast within.
T’aint nothin’ like going to work and firstly being informed I need to work until the long hours of the night tonight and tomorrow, because I’m the only person in the office who can do the work required to meet a Thursday deadline.

Oh, yippee. I’ve said before sometimes it sucks being indispensable. Don’t get me wrong. I love my job, and I would rather be this busy than have nothing to do. I’m a Type A personality when it comes to work. I define who I am by what I do.

Those facts don’t keep me from growling at people when they want something right NOW because they didn’t know how to plan ahead their own work. Who pays for it? You guessed it. Petite Moi!

I have ways to relax, though, and it doesn’t involve boxing gloves and the shear joy in seeing people’s face all bruised and bloodied.

Music. Soft, soothing, uplifting, music, more specifically, Christian music. When I purchased my MP3 player, a tiny Samsung where I not only can upload 512 MB of my own music, but it also came with an FM radio. Surprising how this little 1 ½” x 2 ½” x ½” little box can receive perfect radio signals without an antennae. K-LOVE comes through with perfect clarity. Ah, technology. Gotta love it.

So after I upload this little rant, I will attempt to meet my deadlines while my subconscious absorbs hopeful and spirit lifting music from my MP3 player giving me a small measure of peace.

Don’t be surprised if you don’t hear from me again until late Thursday or Friday. And that’s if another deadline doesn’t decide to jump in my lap. Wee.
