BLOG - Rules Change...
Why Blog Post Frequency Does Not Matter Anymore

http://blog.marketingprofs.com/2006/06/w_why_blog_post_frequency_does.html

"Thou shall post every day” is the most fundamental and most well known principle of blogging...."

*Laugh**Laugh**Laugh* I'm so glad the rules are changing, especially since I've been breaking this 'most fundamental principle of blogging' for a very long time.

It's not that I don't have something to say about what is going on in the world EVERYDAY... it's just best if I think about what I'm going to say before I say it. Today, it's quite possible for a blogger to get their arse in a heap of trouble if a blogger posts thoughts without thinking about consequences.

Freedom of Speech no longer protects a person from possible prosecution, and or persecution, if what is understood, or meant by your words is taken to encourage civil disobedience, or worse - if it ever did.

Therefore, I don't blog everyday - seldom ever have. I am required to temper my words, thoughts, and feelings with reason and maturity (not always easy for me to do, either) - especially since I allow what I write, when I write, to be made public.

God knows I don't need to cause myself more grief than I can afford to defend, especially legal grief. Imagine my dismay if I got arrested for posting something that could be construded as an honest to goodness real physical threat - especially a threat towards any politcal figure.

Here's a suggestion: Start a Personal Defense Fund!

Personal Defense Funds are the up and coming thing, you do know?

Even Martha Stewart accepted contributions to go towards her legal defense.

Scooter Libby has a Defense Fund. Abramoff has a Defense Fund.

So, my latest advice and recommendation is not only should an individual have a personal retirement account, or parents set up college savings plans for their children - NOW it is imperative to establish Personal Defense Funds!

After all, YOU just never know what can happen down the road of success.

So when do you think Gerber Life will add a policy that will pay for your child's eventual legal defense?

Nuff said?
