Bill Gates/Internet & Japan/WWII
To believe Bill Gates created the Internet is like believing Japan single handedly started WWII.

Think the above statement is just absurd – then do what I did… poll some of the young people you know… high school grads, young mothers, ask the girl or guy at the McDonalds and Burger King drive thru… ask them, “Who created the Internet?” and ask them “Who started WWII?”

Hopefully we all know that Al Gore had nothing to do with creating the Internet, despite what he said – but I didn’t ask that question. Why? Well, after the answers I got to my first two questions, frankly… I was afraid to ask.

In my humble opinion, Bill Gates and his undisputable very profitable venture known as Microsoft won the world’s greatest mass marketing campaign in the history of the world.

How did Bill do it? Bill Gates gave away what other companies were selling. It’s truly an amazing story.

Before Bill Gates and long before the Internet there was:

And since 1945 here is what we know:

I have always been fascinated by knowledge, global knowledge, and my first introduction to global knowledge came when I was merely child - it was when I discovered the Encyclopedia Britannica.

Traveling salesmen would go door to door convincing parents that their child’s intelligence would forever suffer if they did not purchase the books they sold.

I couldn’t find anything with a Google search about traveling encyclopedia salesmen, which I think is kind of odd… but I did find this:

History of the Encyclopedia Britannica Part 1

The Evolution of Encyclopedia

Yes, yes… I know Encyclopedia Britannica has its Online Site now, but that’s not what I’m talking about here…

Glenn Beck explained why Bush invaded Iraq the other night on his program… the scary thing is Beck made Bush sound like a brilliant strategist… tell me we all know that’s not true either.
