The Blogging Finger
I seem to be one who would cut off my nose to spite my face. Strange saying, but I often mimick the behaviour. I was in error when I signed off my blog temporarily. A writer can't function properly without full use of all necessary fingers.

So this evening, I'm stretching my writing fingers in fine style. It's early morning, the study is lit with candles and the glow from the computer screen, and I finally got my "Rhapsody" player working so I can listen to some mood music--this stage being 70's Rod Stewart. An occassional cat wanders into my lap for a nap, and my loyal doggie snores next to me on the floor. This is truly peace, at least for me.

It seems Mom's spine fractured itself again, and she's not able to walkm without a cane or walker. She's interviewing a care giver tomorrow. I have mixed feelings--feelings I'd rather not have--like guilt. I don't need to beat myself up over anything. I do what I can, and pray for God to take care of the rest.

I haven't had a passion to write about of late. I couldn't find a fire to heat up to. Undoubtedly, a case of writer's block. I spent about five hours of doctor's office waiting room time reading the latest Writer's Digest magazine. Writing is a life style for me. When I don't do it, I don't feel right. Writer's block is a bitch, but I may have come up with an idea.

"They" always say, "write what you know." So, what do I know? Lots of things when I think about it, but more generally than specifically. I do fairly well on "Jeopardy" on occassion, but ithat has more with having attnended college than IQ. I finally realized that my life's obsession with music and the Beatles' and Baby Boomer generation things need to be put in writing. Non-fiction with style! Required reading for Classic Roack and Roll 101! I'd have an audience from Boomers to babies if I included pictures. My idea is simmering this evening.

I'm cleaning the port a bit, rearranging folders and stories, and I might get something started. . .about a little girl's pink bedroom.
