Too Far From Home

In my dreams, you're a heartbeat away
Yet in reality, we're so far apart
You were taken from me
And with you, you took my heart.
In my thoughts, you're still here
In my heart, your memory lives on
You still have all my love
And I still can't believe you're gone.
You were one of a kind
You were my best friend
I'm nothing without you
Why'd your life have to end?
You were my only love
I miss you so very much
You're so close to me
But too far from home to touch.
