You know you’re addicted to writing.com when:

1. The site goes down, your computer or your internet connection goes funky, and you walk around feeling lost, and your fingernails and hair itch.

2. You think in WritingML code.

3. You get all excited when they come up with new emoticons and/or customicons.

4. The icky yellow no longer looks icky, or the icky yellow looks more and more icky as the days go by.

5. If you create graphics, you know the RGB as well as the hexadecimal values for Icky Yellow.

6. You almost cry when next to your email box you see not a number but a big, fat, black NO.

7. You grin stupidly when you get email.

8. You know by heart everyone’s username as well as their handle.

9. Your favorites list exceeds the number of items in your portfolio.

10. Your number of logins exceeds your base portfolio views.

11. You’re in competition with others in getting a larger number next to your name.

12. You’re reading this list and thinking, “Yep, that’s me!”

13. Because I like the number 13, I end my list here (sorry Scarlett ).
