Swimming Laps
Its another Monday and keeping my head above the rising water line has become an ongoing battle. Meetings yielded to a steady flow of phone calls and requests from the salemen. I managed to run out for a few minutes but my freedom was quickly ruined by a strange attack on my vision that rendered me dangerous to drive and left me with a bizarre pounding in my right temple. The positive thing being that I was scared enough to finally contact local doctors and make a much needed appointment. I've know something has not been right for a while, but tended to blame it on stress rather than investigate the actual ailment properly. Now is the time, whatever may be, will be. I'm mentally preparing myself of a barrage of testing and bloodwork and hoping I can still stay ahead of the game at work and remain tolerable at home too. For now, I'm trying not to fall prey to my worries about work, my fiance's job, my Mom and my family and my wedding plans and just keep...just keep swimming, like an old friend used to say. Perhaps focusing more on my writing will help. I've slacked way off lately and i find whenever I pick back up, it gives me a grounding that I need. It calms me.
