Deification
Once there was once there was once there was once there was

Once there was boy
Motivated by love
Strengthened by unknown desires
Basking in the glory of girl
Loving to love one who would never
Unconditionally
Once there was romance
Flowing from veins like Gatorade through athletes
Pushing the limits of boy’s mind
Sending boy into alternate spatial universes
Where the world was his canvas
The pen was his paintbrush
His hidden desires his muse
Girl his motivation
And life was eternal
Boy was God
Nothing was more powerful
No one could destroy him
His words brought peace
And war
Brought love
And hate
Boy was everything
Boy was loved
Boy became man
And man threw away childish things
Man is too old to make believe in love
Man is too old to make believe in love

Make believe
In love
Man is displeased with his universe
Man is challenged by his own world
Man is angered
Man destroys his universe
Man now sits alone
In darkness
No canvas
No paintbrush
No muse
No motivation
No life
Man was God
Without creation God is nothing
Man is nothing
His words bring nothing
His mind cannot conceive
Man is too old
To make believe
In love
