I told Chad about my rejection slip first thing this morning. He congratulated me. I've taped the little piece of paper up in the same corner of my desk/station where I keep current work-related projects. Still haven't sent in to more journals yet. I'm gonna have to buy some stamps for the SASE's. I did some more research, though, and I think I've found about five more places to send some poems. One of the journals I'm looking at is running a contest, and the postmark deadline is November 1. It costs $15 to enter, though, and I need that money for other things at the moment. I also need to refine at least two more poems to what I consider submittable quality. I think I've got one more ready. When I submit poems again, it will be to journals that allow simultaneous submissions.

Name-dropping again. I can't believe I haven't posted this link:

before now.

Today at work was crazy, so crazy that I left work after writing an email and never clicking "send." I went back to the office to pick up my flash drive, and that's when I noticed it. I think I should hit the sack early tonight, so goodnight.

Oh, but before I sign off, a random question to myself (and anyone else who wants to chime in): should I submit poems using "Jonette Larrew" or "J.H. Larrew"?

J.H. Larrew
