[NOTICE] November "Short Shots" Contest Winners!

The following winners for the November 2007 running of "Short Shots: Official WDC Contest"  were chosen from the 102 entries submitted. Each entry was judged based on the criteria provided in "Short Shots: Official WDC Contest" . Congratulations to the following three winners:

Second: "Invalid Item"  by Lilith Bloodsworth
Co-Third: "Invalid Item"  by edlynda

Update: The contest stated that any entry edited after the contest closed for submissions would be disqualified. We have come to notice that the 3rd place entry was edited during the judging period. Since this was not noticed until after the prized had been award, Writing.Com is also awarding the forth place entry with the same prize as 3rd and announcing it as a co-3rd place winner.

Please note that the rules for future contests have been updated to state that entries edited after submissions close may be disqualified without notice. Since we are human this means that if we notice an edit, the entry will be disqualified; if we don't notice it and announce the winners, the winner got away with it.
